Day 1
Guatemala City - Antigua

  • Pick up at airport and transfer to your accommodation in Antigua to assist with check-in.
  • Overnight in Antigua.

Day 2
Antigua (B)

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Explore the wonders of Antigua, one of the best-preserved colonial cities in the Americas.
  • Strolling around this captivating town feels as though time stopped 300 years ago.
  • Visit the Central Plaza and discover the main Spanish-Baroque influenced buildings in town, including El Portal, Palacio de Capitanes, and Antigua Cathedral.
  • This immersive walking tour invites you to experience the locally-popular Tanque La Union, the San Francisco Church (used in the 1935 classic film, The New Adventures of Tarzan) and the picturesque 5th Avenue.
  • Peruse the coffee shops for a decadent taste of Antiguan black coffee. Pair your brew with “the food of the gods”, indulging in tastings of fine Guatemalan chocolate, or visiting one of the city’s several cacao museums.
  • Your tour concludes at La Merced, a baroque church founded in 1767.
  • Back to hotel and rest.

Day 3
Antigua - Lake Atitlan (B)

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Immerse yourself in rich Mayan culture today, beginning with transfer to Iximche, a pre-Columbian Mayan site in the Western Highlands of Guatemala.
  • Next, witness a traditional, sacred Mayan ceremony.
  • Observe this one-of-a-kind ritual, performed to launch and celebrate important festivals, to offer thanks to the Gods, to ask for health, for work, or for wisdom, to saturate the soul with positive energy, or to simply cleanse negative energies.
  • Transferred from Antigua to Lake Atitlan in the Guatemalan highlands (travel time will be approximately 3 hours)
  • Check in hotel and rest.

Day 4
Lake Atitlan - Santiago Atitlan (B)

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Today’s journey invites you to board a vessel and sail to Santiago Atitlan, also known as St. James, is home to Maximon, a pagan saint known for his love of moonshine and cigars.
  • The adventure continues in Santa Catarina Palopo, a small town rich in beautiful landscapes.
  • Set out on a private walking tour, gaining insight into the town’s impressive painting project. Two Dutch artists have taken on this monumental task and work daily to empower locals to create designs that best represent the culture of Santa Catarina Palopo.
  • Back to hotel to enjoy drinks on the terrace as the sun sets in the distance.
  • Overnight in Lake Atitlan.

Day 5
Lake Atitlan (B)

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • A full day of adventure awaits in a journey through stunning Lake Atitlan.
  • After breakfast, board a private boat and sail to Santa Cruz where you’ll embark on a scenic kayaking excursion.
  • Navigate Atitlan’s serene waters, paddling past small Indigenous villages, local fisherman, and rugged cliffs, drinking in the sights and sounds of exotic flora and fauna.
  • On arrival to the small village of Tzununa, take to the trails for an easy hike along footpaths used by locals, each offering stunning views of the volcanoes surrounding the lake.
  • Back to your hotel, allowing for an afternoon at leisure.

Day 6
Lake Atitlan - Guatemala City - Flores - Tikal (B)

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Transfer to Guatemala City (Approximate travel time is three hours and 15 minutes)
  • Board a flight in Guatemala City with service to Flores, Peten – gateway to the most spectacular Mayan ruins in Guatemala (Flight duration is approximately one hour)
  • Check in hotel and rest.

Day 7
Tikal (B)

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Las Lagunas Boutique Hotel, located on the shore of Quexil Lagoon, privately owns two of the islands on this small lake. On one of these islands, appropriately named Monkey Island, the staff and hotel breed and care for a troop of monkeys.
  • After preparing fresh fruits and vegetables, you will accompany Las Lagunas staff on their daily visit to the primate community; you may even get a chance to feed them yourself! Charming and friendly, these monkeys are relatively domesticated and allow for an up-close and personal experience.
  • In the early afternoon, transfer to Yaxhá archaeological site and participate in a scenic sunset tour; it is truly a must­-see for Maya culture enthusiasts.
  • Back to hotel and rest.

Day 8
Tikal - Flores - Guatemala City (B)

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Transfer to Tikal National Park, one of the largest Maya archeological sites, once home to an incredibly powerful ancient Maya kingdom
  • After the tour, enjoy lunch at in Tikal National Park before being transferred to back to your hotel.
  • Transfer to Maya Mundo Airport and take a flight from Flores, Peten to Guatemala City (will last approximately one hour)
  • Pick up at airport and transfer to hotel.
  • Overnight in Guatamela City.

Day 9
Guatemala City - Home (B)

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Transfer to airport and take a flight to come home.

Confirmation
– Immediately after submitting your reservation you will receive a receipt of booking by email. Within 36 hours of submitting your reservation you will receive a confirmation email confirming the booking status. Please do not book any airline tickets until you receive the status of your booking.
Redemption
– You will receive an confirmation email (e-ticket) after your order was received. Complete Operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your Confirmation Email (e-ticket). When you reserve your attractions and services you will be asked to print e-tickets to present when you arrive at your destination. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

– All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking, please do not book the airline tickets until your received the confirmation.
– Cancellation and Refund policy (Notification day and departure day are not counted):
+ All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within one business day after purchase, customers will be fully refunded if the orders cannot be confirmed.
+ Cancellations received 14 or more days prior to departure – 50% of total purchase amount.
+ Cancellations received within 14 days of departure will incur a penalty of 100% per person.
– Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
– The refund amount will be credited directly to your AHL Tours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
